IXU – Ion eXchange Unit
The service-friendly ion exchange units of the IXU series are used for the treatment of flame-retardant hydraulic and lubricating fluids based on phosphate esters (HFD-R) and polyol esters (HFD-U). They effectively remove the acid-containing degradation products formed by hydrolysis and/or oxidation of the liquid as well as metal soaps contained in the fluid. The units are used with volume flows of up to ≈ 9 l/min in the bypass flow on hydraulic and lubricating oil tanks. Mobile or stationary IXU are available. Ion eXchange elements (IXE) from HYDAC filled with ion exchange resins are used.
